Apparatus Testing & Engineering is currently recruiting for the following position in the Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Job Title:

Electrical Test Engineer

Job Description:

The position consists of testing, inspecting, and troubleshooting power distribution equipment to include but not limited to:

Low, Medium, and High voltage circuit breakers
Power Transformer testing and oil sampling
Instrument transformers
Protection relays (both electro-mechanical and microprocessor based)
Medium voltage cables
UPS System testing and commissioning
Infrared scanning

Qualifications:

Candidate must be able to deliver technical solutions in a self-managed environment to customers with a high degree of professionalism. Flexible hours and some travel is required in addition to the following:

High School diploma or GED is required
Good computer skills and a clean driving record
Prefer a BSEE with a power emphasis or an Associates degree from an accredited 2 year technical college.
Military training and/or relevant work experience
NETA Certification or equivalent skills to become NETA Certified is highly desired

Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications
